Why Sunrise

A coach who reads the player — and the technology to prove it.

The same conviction runs through every session: read the child in front of you, coach through play, and keep parents connected to real progress.

Every level welcome

From a first-time Blue Ball five-year-old to competitive Yellow Ball squads — ages 3 to 18.

Personal attention

Individual feedback every session — not just group instruction. It is the thing parents notice first.

Adelaide-leading technology

The Pathway

Every age and stage, from first racquet to full-court squads — with the price for each up front.

Blue BallAges 3-5

Playful first steps on court — soft balls, short racquets, all through games.

$15/ session · 30-min sessions

  • Fundamental motor skills — running, stopping, throwing, catching, and tracking a moving ball.
  • Racquet basics — how to hold it, make contact, and send a ball back over a low net.
  • The habits underneath the sport — listening, taking turns, and trying again after a miss.
  • Blue Ball details
Red BallAges 5-8

Game-based foundations on a junior court — rally and score from day one.

$20/ session · 45-min sessions

  • The fundamental strokes — forehand, backhand, and first serves and volleys.
  • How to rally, move to the ball, and keep score — genuine match awareness, not just hitting in lines.
  • The ABCs of athletic movement (agility, balance, coordination), with the slow ball giving time to succeed early.
  • Red Ball details
Orange BallAges 8-10

A bigger court, real rallies and the first proper tactics and match play.

$20/ session · 45-min sessions

  • Consistent rallying, directional control, the serve and return, and net play.
  • Simple tactics — where to aim, when to attack, how to recover — so they think their way through a point.
  • Match temperament — competing with good spirit, handling nerves, and bouncing back from errors.
  • Orange Ball details
Green BallAges 10-12

The move to the full court — point construction and competitive play.

$20/ session · 45-min sessions

  • Consistency under pressure, serving with intent, and moving an opponent around the court.
  • Reading what a rally is asking for, plus footwork patterns and full-court coverage.
  • The focus and resilience competitive tennis demands — many start match play and local competition here.
  • Green Ball details

Who coaches your child

Maxim Paskalutsa

Founder & Head Coach

Feel over formula — every player read individually, every session built around play.

Sunrise Tennis is run personally by Maxim Paskalutsa, who founded the program and coaches on court at Somerton Park Tennis Club. Maxim built Sunrise around a simple conviction: a child learns tennis fastest when the game itself does the teaching, and when the coach reads the player in front of them rather than running everyone through the same plan.
